Rob de Paus RA
Rob de Paus RA (1951), partner. In 1995 he founded our firm, after having been connected as partner of Ernst & Young, both in the Netherlands Antilles and in the Netherlands.
Rob gained specialist knowledge in the auditing and advising of banks, insurance companies, pension funds, mutual funds and offshore finance companies.
In addition, he has acquired extensive auditing and consultancy experience in practically all existing market segments.
Furthermore, Rob frequently acts as trustee or administrator in bankruptcies, or suspensions of payment.
Eric J. Vesseur RA
Eric J. Vesseur RA (1962), partner. He has been partner of de Paus & Vesseur Accountants since 1996.
Formerly, Eric was senior manager at KPMG in the Netherlands Antilles as well as in the Netherlands.
Eric has acquired wide experience in the area of auditing and consulting in the financial sector.
In addition, Eric is board member of the "Kring van Register accountants" in the Netherlands Antilles and board member of CONA (Compliance Officers Netherlands Antilles) and board member of a number of foundations.
Ronnie J. Gruppen RA
Ronnie J. Gruppen RA (1973), audit manager, has been employed at our office since January 2004.
Ronnie graduated as a register accountant in 1999 at the University of Groningen, The Netherlands.
He started his career at KPMG Accountants Netherlands (six years).
Ronnie gained audit and advisory experience in the field of , amongst others, the following lines of business: Insurance, building construction, publishers, healthcare, government / shipping / notary and lawyers / oil and IT.
drs. Ruud de Dood RA CIA CFE
Ruud de Dood (1966), audit manager, joined our firm in 2009. Ruud started his career in the Royal Netherlands Air Force and fulfilled several Internal Audit positions within the Air Force. He also served a year as a military observer in the United Nations in Lebanon and Syria. In 2000 he left the Military to become an auditor with Ernst & Young in Curacao, Citco Fund Services and BDO, specializing in Aeronautical Industry, Finance and Investments and Forensic Audits. Ruud is also a teacher of Governance and (Internal) Control courses at the Post Master Register Accountant and Register Controller Courses.
Wilco van Oosten FB
Wilco van Oosten FB (1965), manager compliance/tax adviser local market. Wilco started his professional career in 1990 with Coopers & Lybrand (nowadays PricewaterhouseCoopers) in Utrecht, the Netherlands. In 1997 he moved to St. Maarten for a period of 6 years. In January 2007 he returned to the Netherlands Antilles and joined De Paus & Vesseur. Wilco is responsible for the compliance practice and all tax advice generated from this practice. Next to that, Wilco is specialized in tax advice with respect to the fiscal aspects of pension schemes.
mr. Patrick van Rooij
Patrick van Rooij (1969), LLM tax law. Patrick joined our firm in 2006 and was formerly employed by KPMG in the Netherlands Antilles for about 6 and a half years. Prior to this he worked for a Amsterdam based international law firm. Patrick is experienced in international tax law, both inbound and outbound structuring, and currently heads our international tax department.
Frank A.C. Groenewegen AA
Frank A.C. Groenewegen AA(1967), manager business support. Frank started his career in accountancy 20 years ago in the Netherlands and has gained extensive experience in advising small and medium sized entities and non-profit organizations in practically all industries. Before he joined our firm in 2009 he has worked as a manager and partner in the Netherlands and during a 3-year period as senior-manager of Ernst & Young on Curacao. He has specialized in reviews of financial forecasts and business valuations.
